Dr. Brad Reimann is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Philosophy at the University of Toronto. He went on to complete his Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and his Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Adler School of Professional Psychology, Chicago. He has trained and worked in numerous settings that include the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, University of Toronto Counselling and Psychological Services, York University Counselling and Development Centre, St. Joseph’s Health Care, Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, Ontario Addiction Treatment Centre, Riverview Hospital and Forensic Psychiatric Hospital (B.C.), and private practice.
Dr. Reimann has several years of experience working with a wide range of difficulties, from mild everyday stress to more complex conditions. These include, but are not limited to, depression, workplace stress, social anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anger, alcohol and drug misuse, bipolar Disorder, and psychosis. He also has extensive experience conducting psychological assessments that clarify specific issues related to cognition, intellectual functioning, diagnosis, and personality.
Dr. Reimann’s approach is largely collaborative and he adheres to models of therapy that are change-focused and shown to be helpful through research. Sessions can range from short- term to longer-term depending on presenting issues. His primary interest is to identify and modify underlying patterns of thinking and behaving that give rise to emotional difficulties using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
