Emily is a Registered Psychotherapist. She received her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa, and her Honours Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Queen’s University. She has completed training in mindfulness-based interventions, cognitive-behavioural therapy, psychedelic-assisted therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing.
Emily has experience working with individuals facing challenges related to ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, autism spectrum disorder, attachment style, self-esteem, sexuality, gender identity, interpersonal relationships, self-harm, suicidal behaviour, and trauma. Her approach is exploratory, curious, compassionate, and humorous.
Emily walks alongside her clients as they navigate life. She helps clients gain self-awareness; develop healthy coping strategies; and make meaningful, authentic, and self-directed changes. She believes in the healing power of a strong therapeutic relationship. With empathy and without judgment, she is committed to meeting her clients wherever they are in their journeys.
