LIANE KURZ, M.A., RP

Liane Kurz is a Registered Psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of children and adolescents. Liane received her Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, following her Honours B.A. in Psychology with a specialization in research from Wilfrid Laurier University. Liane specializes in working with children and adolescents to address emotional regulation, anxiety, interpersonal skill development, self-esteem, and depression. As well, Liane has gained extensive experience working with children with diagnoses of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Liane’s approach to psychotherapy is built on the foundation of the therapeutic relationship. Liane’s ability to connect with children and adolescents is evident in the rapport she builds with her clients and their families. Liane believes that collaborating with families and involving external support is beneficial for the most optimal treatment outcomes. Her practice hinges on the use of cognitive-behavioiural therapy techniques, though she often adapts her approach to best suit clients’ needs.
